Description (partial)

Excluding VLAN 1 from a system uplink (type ethernet) port-profile on the Nexus 1000V will result in a sysmgr daemon crash, as seen below.

2010 Jan 11 16:16:00 jz-n1k %SYSMGR-2-SERVICE_CRASHED: Service "portprofile" (PID 3322) hasn't caught signal 6 (core will be saved).

A system uplink (type ethernet) port-profile must be configured to exclude VLAN 1, as seen below.

show run port-profile system.uplink
version 4.0(4)SV1(2)
port-profile type ethernet system.uplink
  vmware port-group
  switchport mode trunk
  switchport trunk native vlan 158
  switchport trunk allowed vlan 108-109,158,208,308,408
switchport trunk allowed vlan except 1
channel-group auto mode on sub-group cdp
  no shutdown
  system vlan 108
  state enabled

The "switchport trunk allowed vlan except 1" will result in a daemon crash. Executing a "show run" or other equivalent "show" command will ultimately crash the Virtual Supervisor Module.
