Symptom: 3 consecutive vlans created on 6500 when a single vlan creation done on 3rd party device running MVRP. Conditions: 6500 switch ---------------------- 3rd party device + The link is a trunk link allowing all the vlans. + MVRP configured between the above 2 devices. mvrp global mvrp vlan create + when we create say vlan 200 on cisco 6500 switch, MVRP packet containing information on all the vlans are transmitted to the 3rd party device and it dynamically learns vlan 200 and vlan 200 gets created on the switch. + when we create say vlan 200 on 3rd party device , vlan's 200 - 202 gets created on cisco 6500.
