Description (partial)

Symptom:

The Cisco Unity telephone user interface (TUI) does not allow users to access new messages. When Cisco Unity users sign in to listen to messages by phone, they hear:

"You have x new message(s).
New messages.
You have no new messages."

Conditions:

This has been observed in Cisco Unity 8.0(3). The message count is incorrect only for new messages with TIFF attachments -- and -- when the user is in a class of service (COS)
that does *NOT* have the FaxMail option enabled.
