Description (partial)

Some cable modems, such as the DPC2505 cable modem report QAM/FEC lock failure (event type 2) when a secondary RF-channel is down, and report an MDD recovery (event type 4) when the RF-channel is UP, instead of reporting a QAM/FEC recovery.

This causes QAM/MDD state transition error in the Cisco CMTS.

This issue is seen when a DPC2505 is connected to the Cisco CMTS.
