Cisco Bug: CSCte19130 - MGX 505;Unsupported Remote Connection Descriptor ERROR

Last Modified

Feb 22, 2014

Products (1)

  • Cisco MGX 8800 Series Switches

Known Affected Releases

5.50(20.200)

Description (partial)

Symptom:

505;Unsupported Remote Connection Descriptor ERROR

Conditions:

The error is generated at VXSM since mode-change-neighbor parameter of AMR Codec is not supported on VXSM. The value permissible for this parameter is 0(false). According to AMR codec specifications, this parameter can come as part of fmtp line in SDP. Since VXSM does not support value 1 for this, NACK message is being sent for the same. Anyhow, VXSM should have selected next codec available in the list rather than NACKing the complete message. We see this as an issue with VXSM behavior
