Description (partial)

Symptom:
The EIGRP "network" command normally only allows network 0.0.0.0 to be configured in combination with wildcard mask 255.255.255.255, enabling EIGRP on all addressable interfaces. Any other wildcard mask may not normally be used with network 0.0.0.0. However, it is possible for an incorrectly entered configuration command to result in EIGRP having network 0.0.0.0 with another wildcard mask (such as "network 0.0.0.0 7.255.255.255").

Conditions:
This issue can be seen when entering a non-zero network in combination with a wildcard mask that, when applied to the network, results in a zero network. For example, "network 1.0.0.0 7.255.255.255" would be accepted by EIGRP, but when the wildcard mask is applied to the network, would result in a final configuration of "network 0.0.0.0 7.255.255.255", which is an invalid configuration. In this case, attempting to remove this command by "no network 0.0.0.0 7.255.255.255" would be rejected by EIGRP as an invalid command:

rtr1(config-router)#no network 0.0.0.0 7.255.255.255
%EIGRP: Invalid address/mask combination
