Description (partial)

This release note is intended to provide further information on an observed characteristic between the Cisco Unified Presence Administration GUI using Firefox 2.0.0.16 on a MAC operating system. This release note is not written with the intension of highlighting a defect in any software product.

Symptom:

The behavior is observed when accessing the Cisco Unified Presence Administration GUI using Firefox 2.0.0.16 on a MAC operating system. Furthermore, the behavior is only observed on the Third Party LDAP Servers - Add New page of the Cisco Unified Presence Administration GUI  
(On the main menu go to Application --> Third Party Clients --> Third Party LDAP Servers. Click Add New button). The browser must have a saved password that is associated with the URL for accessing the Cisco Unified Presence Administration GUI. 

This can be verified as follows:

On a MAC operating system
    - Start the browser
    - On the main menu, go to Firefox --> Preferences ...
    - Select the Security tab
    - Under the Passwords section, click Show Passwords button
    - In the panel that is opened, there exists a list of sites and the Usernames associated with them. The associated passwords can also be seen by clicking the Show Password button.
    - Verify in this panel, if a Username and Password value has been associated with the URL for accessing the Cisco Unified Presence Administration GUI.

The observed behavior is as follows:
    - Go to the Third Party LDAP Servers - Add New page of the Cisco Unified Presence Administration GUI  (On the main menu go to Application --> Third Party Clients --> Third Party LDAP Servers. Click Add New button). 
    - Observe that the saved Username and Password values associated with the URL for accessing the Cisco Unified Presence Administration GUI have been automatically entered into the Username and Password fields on the Third Party LDAP Servers - Add New page.
    - Enter the required information for the other fields.
    - Enter a new Password value into the Password field. This value may or may not be different to the automatically entered value.
    - Click the Save button. The Status message at the top of the page indicates - Add successful
    - Click the Delete button.
    - An alert box is generated with a message similar to the following "You are about to permanently delete this LDAP Server which is required for Third-Party XMPP Client Contact Search. This action cannot be undone.  Continue?"
    - Click Ok
    - Another popup box is generated with a message similar to the following "Please confirm which user you are changing the password for".
    - The saved Username associated with the URL for accessing the Cisco Unified Presence Administration GUI is present in the popup box.
    - This popup box is not a feature of the Cisco Unified Presence Administration GUI.
    
Conditions:
Behavior observed between the Cisco Unified Presence Administration GUI using Firefox 2.0.0.16 on a MAC operating system. The browser must have a saved password that is associated with the URL for accessing the Cisco Unified Presence Administration GUI.
