Cisco Bug: CSCtd94566 - Induced impairment may cause incorrect DF reported for one interval

Last Modified

Mar 31, 2010

Products (1)

  • Cisco 7600 Series Routers

Known Affected Releases

12.2ZI

Description (partial)

Symptom:

A 7600 router running the inline video monitoring feature may report a spurious high DF (delay factor) when a dynamic change is made to jitter being induced by a impairment generator. This is seen for one interval only and the correct value of the impairment gets reported from the next interval onwards.

Conditions:

This issue is only seen when artificial impairment is induced via a test equipment. Real-world video flows with continuously varying jitter get correctly monitored, and DF gets reported correctly.
