Description (partial)

In an application, a change made to the domain name using the "ip domain-name" command does not result in a change in the /etc/resolv.conf file.

Occurs when using the "ip domain-name" command to specify domain name without also using the " ip name-server " command —when the commands are issued from an application in the guest environment.
