Cisco Bug: CSCtd59575 - UCI: Handle duplicate user extensionsfrom multiple CUC servers better
Jan 23, 2010
- Cisco Unity Servers
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: Users from Cisco Unity Connection show up with "n/a" extensions in Cisco Unity when using Cisco Unity Connection Networking to network multiple Cisco Unity Connection servers with a Cisco Unity digital network. However, steps have been taken to eliminate conditions where users should not have extension conflicts in Cisco Unity anymore and the "n/a" extensions should be replaced with actual extension values from Cisco Unity Connection, but the Cisco Unity servers do not automatically update this extension information. Conditions: Using Cisco Unity Connection 8.0(1) and Cisco Unity 8.0(3). Configuration has more than one Cisco Unity Connection server digitally networked together, and that Cisco Unity Connection digital network is using Cisco Unity Connection Networking to exchange directory information with a Cisco Unity digital network of servers. One (or more) user(s) from Cisco Unity Connection replicated over to Cisco Unity with the same extension value, and Cisco Unity only allowed the first created Cisco Unity Connection user to keep the extension value, and all other users that shared that extension value instead were created in Cisco Unity with empty "n/a" extension values. After correcting the duplicate extension conflict for the first user, Cisco Unity did not automatically update the other subsequent users and populate the "n/a" extension values to have numeric content.
