Description (partial)

Symptom:
<cmdBold>show ip route topology <toponame><noCmdBold>
shows BGP routes for a topology which is shutdown

Conditions:
This problem is seen when multi-topology routing is configured, and BGP is
configured to provide routes for that topology, and the topology is operated in
a non-shutdown state for some period of time, and is then shutdown.

eg, you configure:
global-address-family ipv4
topology <toponame>
...
router bgp <asn>
scope global
neighbor...
topology <toponame>
bgp tid <tid>
neighbor ... activate

and subsequently then configure:

global-address-family ipv4
topology <toponame>
shutdown

and then issue the command:
<cmdBold>show ip route topology <toponame><noCmdBold>
