Symptom: While using ViewMail for Microsoft Outlook and attempting to play a secure message the user receives the following error message: MediaMaster Unable to authenticate using the domain name, user name, and password that you specified. Please check the values that you entered and try again. Passwords are case sensitive. [Ok] [Cancel] Choosing [Ok] displays the Enter Logon Information dialog: Enter information for secure messaging. Cisco Unity Server Name: <PrimaryServerName> Domain: <Domain> User Name: <LogonName> Password: <********> [ ] Remember Password When the Enter Logon Information dialog box is presented, you can see that it is configured to use the primary Cisco Unity server for secure message encryption/decryption. Choosing [Cancel] displays the following warning: Decryption errors are preventing this message from being played. Conditions: Cisco Unity 8.0 with ViewMail for Outlook 8.0 when the Cisco Unity server is configured to use SSL, or the ViewMail for Outlook client has been configured to use HTTP instead of HTTPS (default) to communicate with the Cisco Unity server and the user is attemping to playback or record a secure message using ViewMail for Outlook.
