Last Modified

Products (1)

  • Cisco 5500 Series Wireless Controllers

Known Affected Releases

6.0(188.0) 7.0(94.9)

Description (partial)

Directed broadcast packets are not forwarded to wireless clients on c5500 series controllers.
For example: <CmdBold> ping <noCmdBold> from a wireless client will receive responses from wired devices on the same subnet, but will not receive responses from other wireless devices on the same subnet.

This is observed when igmp snooping is enabled on the c5508 controller.
This has been observed in releases 6.0.x.0 and is fixed in the 7.0.x.x release.
