Cisco Bug: CSCtd06186 - Directed broadcast not working when igmp snooping enabled
Jun 30, 2016
- Cisco 5500 Series Wireless Controllers
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: Directed broadcast packets are not forwarded to wireless clients on c5500 series controllers. For example: <CmdBold> ping 192.168.1.255 <noCmdBold> from a wireless client will receive responses from wired devices on the same subnet, but will not receive responses from other wireless devices on the same subnet. Conditions: This is observed when igmp snooping is enabled on the c5508 controller. This has been observed in releases 6.0.x.0 and is fixed in the 7.0.x.x release.
