Feb 08, 2017
- Cisco MDS 9000 Series Multilayer Switches
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: After upgrading/downgrading firmware to NX-OS 4.2(5) or 4.2(6) scsi flows configured for the SSM module are not working. Can not enable SSM feature "scsi-flow". Switch(config)# ssm enable feature ? dmm ILC application invista ILC application nsp ILC application santap ILC application scsi-flow ILC application <<<<< missing se ILC application Conditions: Checking the configuration, the following was found. ssm enable feature (null) module 1 <<< ( null should be scsi-flow ) scsi-flow flow-id 501 initiator-vsan 500 initiator-pwwn <pwwn1> target-vsan 500 target-pwwn <pwwn2> scsi-flow flow-id 501 write-acceleration This applies to a Storage Services Module ( DS-X9032-SSM ). In the above example, module 1 is an SSM. The feature "scsi-flow" was accidentally removed from the firmware at NX-OS 4.2(5), as the feature is being deprecated in NX-OS 5.0.
