Cisco Bug: CSCtc73078 - IPv6 ACL not modifying correctly

Last Modified

Feb 24, 2010

Products (1)

  • Cisco IOS

Known Affected Releases

12.0(32)SY9a

Description (partial)

Symptom:
In a multiline IPv6 access list, modification of an ACE using sequence number is not working.

Conditions:
An IPv6 ACL having multiple ACEs as below.
IPv6 access list cisco-test
permit icmp any any sequence 10
permit tcp any any sequence 20
deny ipv6 any any sequence 30

To modify ACE with sequence number 20 using the following method, it is not taking to the sequence number sub-context mode.
sl-gw2-stlab#config t
sl(config)#ipv6 access-list cisco-test
sl(config-ipv6-acl)#sequence 20
sl(config-ipv6-acl)# <make modifying statements>

The expected behavior would be to enter the sub-context mode of the sequence number and allow us to do our thing.
sl(config)#ipv6 access-list cisco-test
sl(config-ipv6-acl)#sequence 20
sl(config-ipv6-acl-seq)#permit, deny, remark, exit
