Known Affected Releases
Symptom: Serial protocols, such as Modbus, appear to stop communicating for an extended period of time. Conditions: A serial protocol such as Modbus has been added to the configuration. It is observed that the protocol at times stops communicating. This observation can be made by enabling port debugging, attempting to retrieve a value from the target system and noting that the NBM does not issue a request. In such scenarios, it has also been observed that the results from the following commands (issued at at command terminal) "hwclock" and "date" show a time skew between the two.
