During interoperability test between Cisco 887V ADSL2 CPE and Alcatel NVLT-C line card FECC errors were observed


In general all performance and functional tests are (almost) OK.  Data rates achieved in Upstream and Downstream are very good.

During performance tests it was seen that on some occasions a lot of FECC errors were present on the line.

This could lead to instabilities later on when in the field noise conditions will vary.

In the IOP tests this also had impact on following tests:

•	MTBE(Mean time between errors) test: MTBE test failed in conditions when already FECC present in the beginning

•	Injecting a correctable impulse noise also leads to CRC errors in those cases where FECC errors were already present before the noise was injected.
