Cisco Bug: CSCtc35895 - Mobility Control Traffic DSCP classification incorrect
Jun 30, 2016
- Cisco 5500 Series Wireless Controllers
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: On WLC we can configure DSCP markings for Mobility Control traffic (UDP 16666). We can use this command: config mobility dscp <1-63> For example, if we set the value 32 we were expecting to see traffic tagged with DSCP 32 or CS4. However, this does not happen. The config we enter on the WLC is not coherent with the values we see while sniffing the traffic... WLC is setting directly the value in decimal in the field. (IP field set for DSCP 32, is 0x20), not adding the LSB as 00. So command is writing the field directly, as it was a malformed TOS, instead of doing a conversion from DSCP If the field accepted 0 to 255, we could workaround, but as CS4 is 100 000 plus 00, we can not write it (128 is not accepted). Conditions: Configure Mobility Control Traffic QoS.
