Cisco Bug: CSCtc21499 - RSVP authentication in mulitvendor environment
Jan 08, 2017
- Cisco Carrier Routing System
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: Currently RSVP auth in a multivendor environment can be cumbersome to implement since other vendors may use the outgoing interface or some other value for the key-id. Since IOS-XR uses key chains to implement RSVP auth the user must manually select a key-id that matches the value on neighbor device. Conditions: Other vendors may not require the key-id to match at both ends so long as the HMAC-MD5 itself is correct auth is passed. IOS-XR enforces matching key-id.
