Description (partial)

Symptom:

The Java JRE crashes while running CVP VXMLServer at seemingly random times. Each time, it crashes, a hs_err_pidNNN.log file is produced. The hs_err_pidNNN.log file is created by the Java JRE when it crashes. The location of this file is usually in c:\Windows\System32 but the file may also reside in c:\tmp or c:\temp. If not found in any of the locations stated, a search of the entire drive may be needed.

Conditions:

CVP 7.0(x) running with Tomcat

The hs_err_pidNNN.log file shows that the current thread running when the JVM crashed was a garbage collection thread (e.g. ConcurrentMarkSweepThread ). An entry like this is seen in the file:

      Current thread (0x0079a9e8): ConcurrentMarkSweepThread [id=2708]
