Last Modified

  • Cisco AS5400 Series Universal Gateways

Known Affected Releases

Description (partial)

Symptom:

AS5400XM MGCP - TDM (CAS) call leg not dropped after DLCX is received

Conditions:

The topology:

--e1/cas---AS5400---mgcp--MGCP_CA

SS7 signalling is passed from the TDM side to CA.

Ports are getting stuck in connected state, "show MGCP connection" shows the following status for the channel that should be idle (indicating the call is still active on the TDM side):

S=9,0

For comparison, for the active call we get S=4,4 as expected.

The calls can still be placed on this channel, however, the TDM call leg ID stays the same, and the channle is never seen as idle by the system - this affects channel utilization reports.
