Known Affected Releases

5.0(0.21) 5.0(0.21.7)

Description (partial)

TACACS between network access server (NAS) and Cisco Secure Access Control Server (ACS) patch 7
works without a configured TACACS secret key on the NAS, but there is a defined secret key for the NAS
device on the ACS.

ACS has the device configured with a respective TACACS secret key.

NAS does not have a configured TACACS secret key configured.

The ACS will treat the entire request as unencrypted. The NAS must still be present in the Network
Device List.

Affects only Cisco Secure ACS 5.0
