Cisco Bug: CSCtb71544 - BGP neighbor gets reset when using an invalid AS 0
Sep 23, 2017
- Cisco Carrier Routing System
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: BGP neighbor will get reset if AS 0 appears in the AS Path. Conditions: A device running Cisco IOS XR, and configured with BGP routing, will reset the neighbor session if it receives from an eBGP peer as either AS_PATH or AS4_PATH containing an ASN 0. The device will not flap the session if received from an iBGP peer as either AS_PATH or AS4_PATH containing an ASN 0. The device would forward this to an eBGP peer.
