Last Modified

Sep 23, 2017

Products (1)

  • Cisco Carrier Routing System

Known Affected Releases

3.9.0.ROUT

Description (partial)

Symptom:
BGP neighbor will get reset if AS 0 appears in the AS Path.

 Conditions:

A device running Cisco IOS XR, and configured with BGP routing, will reset the
neighbor session if it receives from an eBGP peer as either AS_PATH or AS4_PATH
 containing an ASN 0.

The device will not flap the session if received from an iBGP peer as either
AS_PATH or AS4_PATH containing an ASN 0. The device would forward this to an
 eBGP peer.
