Cisco Bug: CSCtb69157 - DOC: OSPF does not advertise mapped addresses in different subnet
Nov 08, 2016
- Cisco ASA 5500-X Series Firewalls
- Cisco ASA 5580 Adaptive Security Appliance

Symptom: This is a DOCUMENTATION bug only. 'Mapped Address Guidelines' section on following link states that 'If you use OSPF, and you advertise routes on the mapped interface, then the security appliance advertises the mapped addresses.' This is in context when the mapped IP addresses are not in the same subnet as the mapped interface. This statement is not correct. <<7.0>> http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa70/configuration/guide/cfgnat.html#wp1042725 <<7.1>> http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa71/configuration/guide/cfgnat.html#wp1042725 <<7.2>> http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa72/configuration/guide/cfgnat.html#wp1042725 <<8.0>> http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa80/configuration/guide/cfgnat.html#wp1042725 <<8.2>> http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa82/configuration/guide/nat_overview.html#wp1079296 Conditions: Documentation is incorrect.
