Description (partial)

Symptom: The CPU of the Cisco uBR10-MC5x20U line card remains at 99-100 percent for more than 10 minutes after the line card bootup.

The Route Processor (RP) and LC experience an IPC transmission/reception failure. The LC may reload (if line card high availability (LCHA) is not enabled) or switchover to protect the LC (if LCHA is enabled) due to IPC keepalive failure.

Conditions: This issue is seen when more than 3000 cable modems are connected to the Cisco uBR10-MC5x20U line card with EAE/BPI+ enabled.
