Symptom: After loading "sysdbcon" and executing a "cd" command, a kernel dump is reported follwed by an RP failover. Condition: This occurs if "sysdbcon" is given an "cd" command the specifies an invalid path after binding to the root ("/"). Valid paths directly below the root "cfg", "ipc", "oper" and "action" For example, the following commands: RP/0/7/CPU0:E5P-PE1#run sysdbcon Mon Aug 24 00:09:24.182 PST Read-only sysdbcon Please enter initial bind point>/ Enter 'help' or '?' for help sysdbcon:/> cd gl would trigger these errors: %SYSDB-SYSDB-4-SC_REBIND : [Sysdbcon] While binding to /gl/ the following error occurred: 'sysdb' detected the 'fatal' condition 'Operation attempted with an unsupported pathname' /pkg/bin/shutdown_debug_script NODE BEING SHUT DOWN AT 00:09:38.159 PST Mon Aug 24 2009 : Reason: (sysdb_mc) maximum restart attempts exceeded for sysdb_mc.
