Cisco Bug: CSCtb40058 - VDOC: fast change of channels can cause very long DBC latency

Last Modified

Jan 03, 2014

Products (1)

  • Cisco uBR10000 Series Universal Broadband Routers

Known Affected Releases

12.2(33)SCB 12.2(33)SCG1

Description (partial)

When performing very fast channel changes, DBC messages are queued.
Some of these messages are redundant and could be eliminated from the DBC queue, improving the time to process and decreasing the number of items in the waiting queue.

The messages considered as redundant are an "add" and a "delete" DBC transaction for the same DSID. The "delete" message cancels the "add" message and therefore both could be removed from the Queue.

VDOC : IGMP-Triggered DBC.
