Description: 802.3 OAM sessions may flap due to failure to send heartbeat OAMPDUs when the ifmgr process restarts. Symptoms: One or more 802.3 OAM sessions on the node on which the process restarted may go down briefly, as indicated by messages similar to the following. LC/0/4/CPU0:Jul 6 15:27:41.030 : ethernet_link_oam_daemon: %L2-ELO-6-CPU_STARVED : Ethernet Link OAM Daemon has been unable to send heartbeats for 8547 ms LC/0/4/CPU0:Jul 6 15:27:41.030 : ethernet_link_oam_daemon: %L2-ELO-6-INTF_SESSION_DOWN : TenGigE0/4/0/1: OAM session has gone down LC/0/4/CPU0:Jul 6 15:27:41.043 : ethernet_link_oam_daemon: %L2-ELO-6-INTF_SESSION_UP : TenGigE0/4/0/1: OAM session has come up Conditions: The problem can occur when the ifmgr process is restarted using the <CmdBold>process restart<noCmdBold> command, restarts during a software installation event, or restarts unexpectedly due to a defect. The problem is more likely to occur if the process restarts multiple times in quick succession.
