Known Affected Releases
Symptom: In a certain scenario a WAE with CIFS AO enabled may not return File Stream Info response back to a client even though the server has returned the information. When this occurs you will see this error message in the cifs_err.log: ERROR (actona.cifs.frontend.CIFSServerNTLMParser:1589) lightRxFlowPool-2 - Request ID: 49315/4135836 Error replying to client com.actona.cifs.smb.SMBFormatException: Index out of bounds, size=1024, pos=980, len=48 .... WARN (actona.cifs.frontend.CIFSServerNTLMParser:1590) lightRxFlowPool-2 - Request ID: 49315/4135836 Error replying to client x.x.x.x Conditions: Edge WAE will recieve a request from the client for TRANS2 Query File Internal Info This will cause the core to pre-fetch from the server the following - File Internal. File Standard Info, file Stream Info, and File Network Open info. The edge will cache this. Client will come back to the Cifs AO edge and request File Stream Info. If the reply exceeds 1024 bytes an error message in the cifs_err.log will be logged and response will not be returned.
