Cisco Bug: CSCtb03502 - SNI:unicast route isn't used for RPF with 'no ipv6 multicast multipath'
Feb 01, 2017
- Cisco IOS
Known Affected Releases
None Symptom: The problem shows up whenever enabling or disabling <CmdBold>ipv6 multicast multipath<noCmdBold>. This will immediately cause <CmdBold>ipv6 multicast rpf use-bgp<noCmdBold> to be enabled or disabled (respectively). Since "multipath" is enabled by default, it only appears in config if it is disabled, and it appears after <CmdBold>ipv6 multicast rpf use-bgp<noCmdBold> which only is present when enabled. The effect will be that "use-bgp" becomes disabled if "multipath" is disabled. Conditions: The problem shows up whenever enabling or disabling <CmdBold>ipv6 multicast multipath<noCmdBold> or a router starting up with this disabled in the config. The problem is harmless if "use-bgp" ends up with the desired setting anyway. E.g. if one wants both "multipath" and "use-bgp" to be enabled (or disabled).
