Cisco Bug: CSCta98995 - Interoperability limitation between QSIG trunk and SIP trunk in CUCM

Last Modified

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)

Known Affected Releases

5.1 6.1

Description (partial)

MWI indications from QSIG PRI stops working after a period of time and
requires a port reset to operate normally.
MWI sent from a voicemail system integrated to CUCM through QSIG PRI.
If the DN for one of the MWI request matches a route pattern that routes via
SIP trunk, MWI stops working for all subsequent requests for ANY dn in
the cluster.
This is a limitation by design in how CUCM handles interop between QSIG and
SIP trunks. For MWI to work properly, Administrator needs to set the route
patterns to use SIP trunk directly instead of using Route List/Route group
combination for the particular SIP trunk.
