Cisco Bug: CSCta92899 - Receiving dial-tone after pressing Speedial button in speaker mode

Last Modified

Feb 22, 2014

Products (1)

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)

Known Affected Releases

6.1(2.1000.13) 6.1(3.1000.16) 6.1(3.3210.1)

Description (partial)

Symptom:

Receiving dial-tone after pressing Speedial button in speaker mode.

When the "Await Further digit" is true, and phone is being used in Speakermode.
When we press the speed-dial button, and enter no additional digit, the dial-tone starts immediately after pressing the speed dial and lasts until the ringback starts.

When speed-dial button is pressed, we are passing the digits to call-control for processing, so we should hear any dial-tone if the digits have been sent for digit analysis.

Customer is facing this in 6.1(3.1000.16) and 6.1(3.3210.1) and I have tested this on 6.1(2.1000.13) and 6.1(3.3210.1)

Conditions:
This only happens when the phone is in speaker mode and the Speed-dial button is pressed.
When the phone goes off-hook with handset, and Speed-dial button is pressed the dial-tone stops
