Cisco Bug: CSCta65536 - clMeshNodeBatteryChargingLevel to become clMeshNodeBatteryChargeLevel

Last Modified

Feb 19, 2016

Products (1)

  • Cisco 5500 Series Wireless Controllers

Known Affected Releases

4.2(176.51)M

Description (partial)

Symptom:

clMeshNodeBatteryChargingLevel should be deprecated and substituted by clMeshNodeBatteryChargeLevel

Conditions:

In order to better improve the understanding of the values returned for the calculation of "remaining capacity" in mesh APs with external batteries, the OID clMeshNodeBatteryChargingLevel should be deprecated and the new OID clMeshNodeBatteryChargeLevel should take its place.

Alternatively, also clMeshNodeBatteryRemainingCapacity could be a better improvement to have some consistency between the OID and the variable "remaining capacity" in the CLI of the controller.

The term "charging" could create confusions in the sense that charging is the process of acquiring electric energy.
The word "charge" would be clearer, as it expresses indeed the electric energy already accumulated.
