Description (partial)

When "Enable LEC w.G.729?" is set to YES (enabled), it reduces MCU capacity from 250 audio ports/blade to 166 ports/blade.

However, under Global Audio Mode, the option remains as: G.711: 250 ports/blade.

The other option is G.711, G.729, G.722, iLBC: 166 ports/blade

This is very confusing and even misleading. People think they are still getting 250 ports/blade.

Doc mention something like:

If you use Line Echo Cancellation (LEC) with G.729, you must select the lower capacity audio mode.

This above 'doc' is not acceptable. What does it mean 'you must ...'. If customer must do something, then our program should have done it for them. In this case, as stated above, Audio Mode still shows 250 ports/blade but customer is actually only getting 166 ports/blade.

We should remove the "Enable LEC w.G.729?" parameter

and replace it with 2 Global Audio Modes:

1. G.711, G.729 w/o LEC: 250 ports/blade
2. G.711, G.729 w/ LEC, G.722, iLBC: 166 ports/blade

Or we could keep the current two Global Audio Modes, but at least if you enable LEC for G.729, Global Audio Mode should automatically change to the 166 ports/blade option
