Symptom: After reloading APS working/protect channel whichever is enabled, E3 serial interface went in up-down state even though sonet controller is Down(APS disabled channel). Conditions: Topology: R1 ------------ ADM ------------ R2 Both working and protect links [Both Jag48, 4XOC12] are in same chassis, R1. RP/0/0/CPU0:stakate_R1#sh aps gr 23 APS Group 23 Protect ch 0 (SONET0_3_0_1): Disabled SDH framing, SONET signaling, bidirectional, non-revertive Rx K1: 0x00 (No Request - Null) K2: 0x05 (bridging Null, 1+1, bidirectional) Tx K1: 0x00 (No Request - Null) K2: 0x05 (bridging Null, 1+1, bidirectional) Working ch 1 (SONET0_2_0_1): Enabled SDH framing One serial interface [E3] with 100 FR PVCs are cofigured on both the routers.
