Cisco Bug: CSCta53273 - N7K: EIRGP equal-cost route is 'Pending'
Feb 01, 2017
- Cisco Nexus 7000 Series Switches
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: A Nexus 7000 may have routes installed in the IPv4 RIB that are marked as "pending", i.e. these routes have not been pushed to the FIB and are therefore not installed in the hardware. Example: N7K# show routing 10.0.0.0/24 IP Route Table for VRF "default" 10.0.0.0/24, 1 ucast next-hops, 0 mcast next-hops, pending *via 192.168.4.2, Ethernet2/1.5, [170/51456], 00:00:10, eigrp-N7K, external Conditions: In theory, this issue could occur under many conditions with any client. However, the only seen scenario, is when an EIGRP prefix is withdrawn, e.g. due to a peer neighbour down event. In relation to the above example, the original state is the following ECMP route, which has been pushed to the FIB: N7K# show routing 10.0.0.0/24 IP Route Table for VRF "default" 10.0.0.0/24, 2 ucast next-hops, 0 mcast next-hops *via 192.168.2.2, Ethernet2/1.4, [170/51456], 00:00:25, eigrp-N7K, external *via 192.168.4.2, Ethernet2/1.5, [170/51456], 00:00:25, eigrp-N7K, external The EIGRP peer 192.168.2.2 is brought down, causing the event.
