Nov 08, 2016
- Cisco ASA 5500-X Series Firewalls
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: ASA's webvpn POST plugin may not work for some Portals, which require SSL. Customer will see the error " Server <Server name> unavailable" The above error will be seen when "csco_proto=https" is configured in the POST URL. E.g. The below URL might produce the above error post://<server name>/login.do?username=X&password=Y&csco_proto=https Conditions: The POST plugin by default uses Port 80 for communicating to the Server and it will try to negotiate SSL on Port 80. If the Server is configured to negotiate SSL on port 443 Only then you will see the error.
