Cisco Bug: CSCta23762 - FRR MIB -- Extend fix for multiple cmplsFrrProtected traps per if down

Symptom: Under conditions where multiple clients detect the failure of the protected interface on a router configured with MPLS TE FRR (Fast ReRoute), more than one cmplsFrrProtected notification for a single interface failure may be sent to the SNMP trap host. This problem does NOT affect FRR failover of tunnels, and has no impact on tunnel signaling or traffic forwarding. Failure of the protected interface is handled as expected even when the problem is exposed. Rather, there may be extra notifications of a single failure of the protected interface sent to the SNMP trap host. These duplicate notifications typically occur within one or two seconds of the failure. Conditions: The router must be configured with all of the following: 1) with the cmplsFrrProtected trap enabled 2) with Fast ReRoute protection on at least one interface 3) with multiple clients detecting the interface failure. For example, if a linecard which observes LOS (Loss of Signal) at the physical port level and an application verifying connectivity at the protocol level (such as BFD or RSVP Hello) both monitor the protected interface, both these clients may independently detect and report the same interface failure.
