Cisco Bug: CSCta23301 - FTP: ctrl and data conn do not get terminated when cp'n 0 byte fileftp

Last Modified

Mar 02, 2018

Products (1)

 • Cisco IOS

Known Affected Releases

12.2(33)SXH8 12.4T

Description (partial)

Symptoms:
FTP control and data connections appear in ESTAB state in the output of sh tcp br all after copying a zero byte file. This would usually appear for a time period of 2-3 mins after the completion of the copy operation.
Also, in case of a non-zero byte file copy tracebacks appear when doing active ftp, though the copy operation is successful.

Condition:
"no ip ftp passive" should be configured to enable active ftp.

problems with the cdr on a 2811
I´m having problems sending the cdr records to a ftp server. The 2821 is running c2800nm-spservicesk9-mz.124-24.T1.bin and cme 7.1. The symptom are those described in the CSCtb72550 caveat. The release notes for the last IOS said "Workaround: Downgrade to a version of Cisco IOS software that does not contain the fix for <key>CSCta23301</key> or push the CDR records locally to flash instead of to an FTP URL". I would like to know if this issue is resolved (or not) in the last ios. Thanks.
