Cisco Bug: CSCta17818 - SSM should collect data for both "MGCP" and "H323"
Feb 22, 2014
- Cisco Unified Service Statistics Manager
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: For a voice gateway with both H323 and MGCP capabilities, Service Statistics Manager collects data for only one capability. Conditions: The Gateway Utilization monitor supports both MGCP and H323 gateways. During auto discovery, Service Statistics Manager searches for devices with the capability "VoiceGateway" and scans relevant Operations Manager performance polling files to determine whether the voice gateway is an MGCP or H323 gateway based on the FIRST record type that Service Statistics Manager identifies. If the first record is related to H323, the gateway utilization monitor instance is created for gateway type H323. During polling, Service Statistics Manager collects data based on the gateway type. For an H323 gateway, Service Statistics Manager collects data from Operations Manager performance polling record 102 and ignores record 101 which contains MGCP data. If the first record is MGCP, Service Statistics Manager creates an MGCP gateway utilization monitor instance and collects data that is related to MGCP only.
