Description (partial)

The IPMA directory user lookup is limited to the users that have been synched into Cisco Unified Communications Manager user directory.   There is no admin or user definable configuration to allow directed LDAP searches for users.

Starting with Cisco Unified Communications Manager V5.0(1), there was no way to create and distribute a global configuration file to all clients to specify a different LDAP access and lookup
