Cisco Bug: CSCsz95071 - PPPoE: First inbound NCP CONFREQ may be lost
Jan 30, 2016
- Cisco IOS
Known Affected Releases
12.2REC 12.2SRC 12.2SRD 12.2XN 12.4(24.6)PI11f
Symptom: When a PPPoE session first comes up, the initial Network Control Protocol (e.g. IPCP) packet from the remote peer may be discarded, forcing the peer to time out and retransmit the packet. This may cause a slight delay (usually about 2 seconds) in enabling the session for network layer traffic. Conditions: This symptom has been observed when a large number of PPPoE sessions come up in a short amount of time.
