Cisco Bug: CSCsz94821 - Phone re-auth in 6k open mode rcvs MAB timeout when voice present
Feb 05, 2017
- Cisco Catalyst 6000 Series Switches
Known Affected Releases
None Basic Description: When an Open Mode, MAB authenticated IP phone is re-authenticated (server based re-authentication with Terminate-Action default) and when an audio call is in place, MAB times out and the interface stays in the 'running' state indefinitely with unknown MAC and IP. Symptoms: After re-authentication has been initiated, reference to MAC address 0000.0000.0000 is shown in the debugs and MAB times out leaving the switch port in the 'Running' state with unknown MAC address and IP address. Conditions: The IP phone must be MAB authenticated to a switch port set up for Open Mode. The problem does not occur in Closed Mode. Server based re-authentication was used with Session-Timeout set to 120 and Terminate-Action set to default (0). The host mode used was multi-domain.
