Cisco Bug: CSCsz93124 - Only first two octets of domain name in /etc/resolv.conf used
Sep 23, 2017
- Cisco Digital Media Manager
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: The DNS configuration for the DMS network setup only uses the first 2 octets of the domain name provided for the "search" field in /etc/resolv.conf. The typical domain name, such as "cisco.com", is only 2 octets. However, for cases where the domain name is more than 2 octets, only the first two will be used. Conditions: This only affects non-FQDN DNS lookups.
