Description (partial)

Symptom:

Packet captures continue to be written and roll even after tethereal is stopped. Checking the process through show process command we found dumpcore process was still running and overwriting the rolling captures.
Conditions:

The tethereal CLI is used to create rolling packet captures of a specific number of files of a specific size (e.g. using the -b and -w options).
