Cisco Bug: CSCsz86365 - cfa reported as activated for all lines after EM login

Last Modified

Feb 22, 2014

Products (1)

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)

Known Affected Releases

6.1(3.1000.16)

Description (partial)

Symptom:

If the following condition is met or the following procedure is used by users with Extension Mobility, then all the lines associated with EM device profile will be reported as forwarded:

1)	Set up an EM device profile with multiple lines (e.g 2 lines)
2)	logged into the EM with above device profile
3)	set CFA (call forward all) on the 1st DN (primary extension) from the phone
4)	2nd DN or other DN are not set to forward all (we don't want them to be forwarded)
5)	logout EM with 1st DN remain forwarded
6)	logged back into EM
7)	both DNs are being reported as forwarded, and CTI will also report the 2nd or other DN as forwarded as CM reported,
8) But from cucm web page, only 1st DN is shown as forwarded. And 2nd DN is still able to accept call as usual.

If the device/phone that EM log on with is controlled or monitored by CTI, then CTI will mistakenly report All DNs forwarded to CTI App and cause CTI App to behave incorrectly.

In above procedure, for step 3, CFA can be set by CTI, and it will also trigger the same problem.

If there is no CTI invovled, the issue could be cosmetic because the incorrect reporting for all dn forwarded can be seen in CCM SDI trace, but the other DNs (apart from the first DN) are not actually forwarded, they can still accept call and callforwarddynamic table still contain the correct value for cfa.

Conditions:

1. EM device profile with multiple lines
2. CFA is set for primary extension while EM is logged in.
3. CFA is not cleared while EM is logout
4. Second time EM login with first line forwarded.
