Cisco Bug: CSCsz80988 - RME needs a mechanism to purge the syslog purge backup files

4.0(6) 4.1 4.1(1) 4.2
Symptom: The RME syslog database has a mechanism to purge entries from it according to a user defined purge policy. THere is also a mechanism to backup these purged records (Backup Policy) which will write the purged syslog entries to a text file on the server filesystem. By default this is NMSROOT\files\rme\syslog, but can be changed. Over time, these files can accumulate and take up a fairly large space. Ciscoworks RME needs to provide a mechanism to either: 1. provide some visibility into how much space these files are taking up and how to take action to clean them up or 2. provide a manual or automated mechanism to clean these up. e.g. a "Delete" or "Purge Policy" for these syslog backup files. Conditions: This functionality does not exist in any current RME versions (4.0.x, 4.1.x and 4.2.x).
