Cisco Bug: CSCsz79714 - In very rare scenario, WAE may stop optimizing connections
Feb 22, 2014
- Cisco Wide Area Application Services (WAAS) Appliances
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: WAE becomes unresponsive. If kernel kdb is enabled, WAE is not able to break into kdb mode. Instead of becoming unresponsive, the WAE may also create a kdump file and reboot Conditions: Very rare race condition in WAAS 4.0.x where an internal client connection is being closed/torn down while in the process of being setup for optimization. Examples of internal clients include the ones initiated by the central manager agent on the WAE, WAFS transport tunnel connections, ftp connections from the WAE, etc.
