Cisco Bug: CSCsz72146 - LDAP option should be removed while selecting the auth priority

Last Modified

Jun 10, 2010

Products (1)

  • Cisco 5500 Series Wireless Controllers

Known Affected Releases

5.2(157.0) 5.2(178.0)

Description (partial)

Symptom:

In SMB controllers, the LDAP server authentication is not supported (since it does not allow us to define any LDAP server in SECURITY>AAA section)...

So we should not show LDAP as an option while selecting the Authentication priority order for web-auth user (WLANs>Security>AAA Servers).

Also in page SECURITY>Authentication Priority , since the available local authentication methods are local and ldap, there is no need for this page at all for 526(SMB) controllers(since we do not support LDAP servers on SMB controllers).

Conditions:

This is only applicable for WLC526 or SMB controllers.
The sections from where we remove this LDAP option are

Authentication priority order for web-auth user (WLANs >Security > AAA
Servers).
Also in page SECURITY>Local EAP>Authentication Priority. (This page is not needed at all)
