Release Note Symptom: Purge failed running the stored procedure sp_frag_mgt: -206 or -710 -206 is a cosmetic error. Conditions: Reporting Server is in an overload condition and is processing more messages that it can properly handle. Data may be lost due to inability to process it all. Data load is so large that administrative tasks (purge) cannot execute correctly. This may result in a -206 error where a second purge attempts to run before a first purge has completed. This may result in a -710 condition where Reporting Server processes have not registered changes to underlying data structures. The -206 is a "Cosmetic" error and occurs when the purge recovers itself, in that sense it is a "good" error. A -710 error is more serious and should be recovered by stopping and restarting the Reporting Server as illustrated in the batch files below. A -710 error may occur in situations where the system is not unduly overloaded. Corrective action for this situation is the same.
